You have the new BlackBerry Bold and you can’t figure out how to change that garbage ringtone? Do this:
Select profiles from the Home screen.
Click on Advanced.
Highlight a notification profile.
Hit Menu.
Click on Show Tunes.
Click Media Folder Ringtones.
Choose the ringtone you would like.
Lastly, click on Menu > Set As Phone Tune.
That’s it! You should now have your desired ringtone set up on your new BlackBerry Bold.

Wow! Only 8 steps buried deep in an “Advanced” menu just to change a simple ring tone? How is that for user friendly UI? Blackberry is a joke.

where got show tune… i only saw Show Ring Tones… and back to lousy ring tones… i dun no why they call this smart phone while to change the ring tones so difficult

Hi, I want to change a different tone for my sms messages, e-mail and reminders but can not find how to do it. Can someone help. I can change my ringtone for calls easierly but not the others. I only had this a week and I have searched and searched.

you can just go into your media player and can either go into ringtones, or your music,choose a song/ringtone, hit your bb key and select set as ringtone….
