The BlackBerry Bold is said to have the best looking smartphone display ever with its 480×320 pixel resolution. The exterior is black with a chrome frame and backplate that is leather-like. The thumb keyboard has been redesigned and is now easier to use than ever.

624MHz says that the Bold is the most powerful processor inside any BlackBerry. It also includes 128 MB flash memory, 1 GB storage memory, and memory card slot that can be found through the side door. The Bold includes push email, messaging, organizer, and redesigned browser. Use the trackball to easily navigate websites and choose between a full desktop layout, or the mobile. Edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, download attachments, or watch streaming videos in real time.

The Bold also features a video recording capable 2 megapixel camera with built in flash and 5x digital zoom. Manage your music, view your photos, or watch movies in full screen with the media player. Play your favorite music over the dual speakers, external speakers, or through wired head phones.

The Bold also features voice activated dialing, Bluetooth 2.0, smart dialing, speed dialing, call forwarding, conference calling, stereo headsets, as well as car kits. Backround noise is supposed to be offset by the Bold’s noise cancellation technology. About 5 hours of talk time and 13 days of stand by time should be provided by the removable 1500 mAhr battery.

The BlackBerry Bold comes with carrying case or sleeve, USB cable, travel charger, and stereo headset. The Bold supports AT&T’s UTMS/HSDPA, which is now available in more than 270 U.S. markets with average uplink speeds between 500 and 800 kilobits per second (Kbps) and typical downlink speeds of 600 to 1,400 Kbps.

350 supported markets are expected to be the total by years end. AT&T will become the only carrier in the U.S. selling an international 3G capable BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry is widely know for its popular use with businesses and corporations, as well as its email capabilities, and easy to use keyboard. The Bold is supposed to easily surpass any other BlackBerry to date.

What do you think about the new Bold…besides the fact that it needs to be released in the U.S. sometime soon?
