If spell check is not appearing on your Options screen, and is not available when you are typing, the probable cause would be that the input language is not set to English. To make sure that the input language is set to English, follow these steps:
Click Options, and Language from the home screen.
Then make sure that the input language is set to English.
Display the menu, then click Save.
Spell Check on your BlackBerry Curve should now work properly.
