If you are getting this message on your BlackBerry device: “Data Connection Refused”, there is usually only one reason for it, and one thing to do about it.
Data Connection Refused most likely means that your SIM card is not set up to receive BlackBerry service.
You will need to contact customer service in order for them to activate the service.
Once service is active, you should no longer receive the message.
