I encountered the missing BB App World icon in Japan on my BB Torch 9800 while on vacation! Was really desperate as I also lost the BBM icon. With the help of a family member, I used the BB Browser and got to http://www.blackbery.com/appworld. I click on “Download it Today”. The BB App World icon came back on. I proceeded to enter my BB Id download the BBM app and everything was OK. Hope this helps.

I havnt downloaded the new bbm yet and it won’t let me and my bbm icns dissapearand I don’t know whereit is its nowher to be seand it won’t leme delete bbm of bb appwrold and readd it wh shall I do?

I have a Blackberry curve 8500 0r something, I reset my phone, and when it came back on, the sms icon had disspeared as well as anything else to do with it. its asif it was never there..:S ive tried everything and its still not working..
it lets me send messages, but only throough the contact list and it doesnt show. people can recieve my texts, but when they reply, only the led light goes off. /:

can anyone help?

I had the same problem. i have a bold 9780.
my bbm and bb appworld icon went missing. could see both in my application folders.
I phoned blackberry and spoke to 4 diff operators, they tried everything, nothing worked. They told me there is a glitch in the operating system…and the phone should be taken to the nearest network provider shop, so they can re-install my o.s!
what i did was, i deleted both bbm and bb app world out of my application folder, i downloaded bb app world 3 times with no success, the 4th time it was a success, from the app world i downloaded bbm again and all is sorted. Blackberry and RIM really needs to work on this problem,,,,,,i had it with my 8520 aswell.

I recently reactivated my blackberry curve 8530. I noticed on the main screen that my blackberry app world is missing. i was told that I should download it because its not on my phone. my phone said it already exists. does anyone know how i can get it back on my phone?
