I have had both and I have to say i found the iPhone way better. However the battery life is a real issue. When listening to music I found the iPhne better equiped and doesn't run out of battery that quickly. I must be honest (because I strongly vote iPhone) that I never used music on the blackberry. However I did have some on mine and the quality wasn't good at all. iPHONE!! Thank you:)

This is the most ridiculous argument I have ever seen. It is quite clear to me that an iPhone in the new generation, whatever the model, is by far the greatest phone of the whole lot. Anyone who disagrees, saying that the Blackberry has been very well promoted and has a good price...well I say this to you: The iPhone can do anything on it. Email, movies, music, skype, games, reading...you name it! What can you do on the Blackberry that even compares to the iPhone? Email. Big woop. Now I know that for business the Blackberry is better as it has the BBM, and that some people don't want to have a phone that can do everything in their pocket. But the others who can afford both, I don't understand how you can say that the Blackberry Bold is as good as the 3G?! I have had both by the way, this isn't speaking from a biased point of view. We should get other people like me on this website and see their opinions on the matter. Thank you.

I started with a Blackberry and ended up changing to the I phone because a friend had one and it was so simple to use, plus it seemed fun. It's true - it was great for the first few months and I loved the I phone, however it soon lost it's appeal and everyone I know (including myself) has started to have problems around the one year mark after purchasing the I phone. Major recurring issues include a) an alien/underwater sound coming from the handset when making and receiving calls - unrelated to phone carrier -it's the phone itself b) Phone often freezing or turning itself off c) slide bar not allowing you to answer calls when phone rings (touch screen issues I guess). These are the major concerns and I raise them only because it's happened to nearly every fellow I phone user. My housemate has had Blackberry's for a long time now and has had no complaints. To put it into perspective, neither phone is better. I personally beleive that the I phone is prone to more problems - and you look silly at the office pulling out an I phone. I am upgrading soon (due to I phone faults continuing) and will be getting a Blackberry. I am a business professional and it seems fitting that I get the Blackberry for numerous reasons including email, professionalism and multitasking. I vote Blackberry, but if you're enjoying the i phone, then good for you.

Okay, im 14 years old, and i own the iPhone 3G.
I've had it for nearly half a year now, but the battery is so ... bad ! I wont use it at all for half the day but half of the battery will nearly be gone and the vibrate doesnt even work. (before any of you make any sexual comment i need it so i can tell in school when i get a text without my phone getting conviscated.)
Now, I have talked to my parents about all these problems and they suggested that i get the new Blackberry Curve. This is where my dilemma begins.
If i got the blackberry i would have 500 texts a month and 100 minutes a month, plus BBM and all that. And i could keep my iPhone as an iPod touch (so i could still have all of the apps for games and stuff.)
It seems like a " Blackberry all the way ! " situation but if i chose the blackberry i would have to stick with it for 2 years. Two years is a LONG time , especially if i didn't like it.
I really really dont know what to do.
A lot of my friends have blackberrys , and they are all telling me to go with it but i love my iPhone (besides all of the malfunctions, which is quite a lot ¬_¬) and they don't seem to understand that i would have to stick with the blackberry for two whole years, like it or not.
Also, i listen to music a lot, so if someone could tell me which phone drains the least amount of battery when listening to music, that would be great. Thank you :)

The Blackberry has long been the king of the smartphone space - especially for businesses, where it has become an indispensable tool for many companies. But the iPhone - and especially the iPhone 4 - had the Blackberry playing catch up thanks to the iPhone's splashy media features, mulch-touch screen, and sensors that allow apps to be controlled by moving the phone.
