People have been reading books, and writing written on paper for many years, however, Amazon is hoping to change that trend with the Kindle Book Reader. Kindle is like an electronic library where all of your books are stored within the small hand held device.
Based on the way the economy is right now, electronic sales are down in general for all kinds of products, let alone those that don’t come quite as cheap like the Kindle. Even so, Amazon may release a new version of the Book Reader this year, or simply make the current model available again, which has been sold out since November.
Amazon may make over $1 billion in sales by next year with the Kindle on the market. Sales were up last year, supposedly because Oprah had nice things to say about it, but that will only last so long. The Kindle seems like a great idea, but there’s no way to know how many people will actually want to convert their libraries over to electronics.
